A small-group setting is a great way to start studying the guitar before moving into private lessons. This year-long class teaches the basics: tuning, chords, tab, and strumming and finger-picking techniques. In addition to technique, students will learn basic music skills and build confidence playing and accompanying songs new and old. Students will learn many different styles of music both individually and as a group.
Students must provide their own guitar, please contact us for guidance on purchasing a quality guitar. This class is limited to 6 students and minimum enrollment must be met for the class to proceed.

This small-group setting is a delightful way to start studying the ukulele. Younger children often find the ukulele more accessible than the guitar, which is why we offer this class starting at age 6. This year-long class teaches the basics and builds confidence in playing. Students will learn to play various styles of music both individually and as a group.
Students must provide their own instrument, please contact us for guidance on purchasing a quality ukulele. A small number of rental instruments are available on a first-come-first-served basis, please contact office@bellanotesandpoint.com for information)This class is limited to 6 students and minimum enrollment must be met for the class to proceed.

This is a mixed age ensemble, for ages 8-12. Singers will sing in an ensemble setting, incorporating fun musical games and warmups that help prepare students for a range of exciting and challenging choral repertoire. Advanced students may have the opportunity to take on the role of section leader.
Ms. Katie has worked with local arts organizations as a performer, private voice instructor, and music director. She believes that ensemble singing provides more than just music literacy! It provides valuable opportunities to collaborate and achieve musical excellence.

This small-group setting is great for young children not quite ready for private voice lessons or a large choir. This year-long class teaches the basics of singing for ages 6-8. The small group setting allows for more one-on-one instruction. Students will learn to sing various styles of music as a group and individually, with opportunities for solo performance. This is a great introduction for young singers to gain confidence and prepare for the next step in their musical journey, whether that be private voice lessons or choir.

This group class is held for the whole school year and is designed to help students build their musical language and skills while also setting a good foundation on the piano. Students will learn through movement, listening, playing various instruments, and of course, playing the piano. This class is best suited for children ages 6-7 who want to build a good musical foundation and learn to play the piano.

This mixed-string ensemble is open to intermediate and advanced musicians who play the violin, guitar, mandolin, bass, ukulele, or any other stringed, folk instrument! Students must be able to play either melody or chords, either by ear or by reading music/tab. We recommend students are also able to play at least some scales on their instrument. The goal of this course is to hone your ensemble playing in a casual setting. We will learn music from various genres including folk, rock, bluegrass, and fiddle tunes. This ensemble will have opportunities for performances of various types.
Students must provide their own instrument and commit to year-long participation.
Grades 9-12
Ever wonder what makes your favorite music so memorable? Music Theory is the foundation for understanding how music works—and it’s the perfect next step for students interested in composition, arranging, or deepening their musicianship.
This class is a prerequisite for Composition and is designed for students with a background in reading music. Together, we’ll explore the building blocks of music through harmonic, melodic, and formal analysis, learning how composers create emotion, structure, and style.
By the end of the course, you’ll not only gain valuable skills as a musician but also develop a deeper appreciation for the music you listen to and perform. Whether you dream of writing your own music or simply want to understand it on a whole new level, this class will give you the tools to do both.
