Come learn the ukulele with our Hawaiian instructor, Jacob Kenyon! The group setting for 6-10-year-olds is a delightful way to learn this instrument. Students will learn to play various styles of music both individually and as a group. Students will have opportunities to perform as a group around Sandpoint in an informal setting to build their confidence and performing skills, and to have fun! Students must provide their own instrument, please contact us for guidance on purchasing a quality ukulele.

Beginning Guitar in a group setting for ages 10-12, is a great way to start studying the guitar before moving into private lessons. Students will learn the basics: tuning, chords, cool but simple strumming and finger-picking techniques, and reading tab to play easy riffs. Students will learn to play various styles of music both individually and as a group. Students must provide their own guitar, please contact us for guidance on purchasing a quality guitar.

In this class, young students will begin their musical journey in a fun, supportive group setting. Designed specifically for ages 4–5, this class introduces the fundamentals of piano playing through a multi-sensory, developmentally appropriate curriculum. The entire group learns together in a structured, step-by-step format, while still supporting each child’s individual needs.

Students will explore the sounds of the piano, develop aural skills such as listening, matching pitch, and identifying musical patterns, and connect with peers through songs, movement, rhythm games, and hands-on activities. They’ll also experience the joy of ensemble playing and build confidence by performing for one another in a friendly and encouraging environment.

This class last the whole school year.

This group class is held for the whole school year and is designed to help students build their musical language and skills while also setting a good foundation on the piano. Students will learn through movement, listening, playing various instruments, and of course, playing the piano. This class is best suited for children ages 6-7 who want to build a good musical foundation and learn to play the piano.
